Kindness in words is one of the most potent energies when you speak with kindness; you create an environment of confidence and unconditional love. Kindness releases feel-good hormones ease anxiety reduces stress, and it is good for your heart. When you witness an act of kindness, your body releases Oxycontin, also called the “love hormone,” which aids in lowering blood pressure and improves overall heart health. These are all fantastic benefits, so how can you benefit from this daily?
Try the following:
Smile, and say hello to random people. More importantly, always show a smile to those you love.
When in a queue to buy something, pay for the person behind you. A coffee shop scenario comes to my mind, but there are many other opportunities for this.
Leave a short note for someone you love; these days, handwritten words make a difference.
Allow another driver to merge into your lane with a beautiful smile on your face.
Share a book.
Praise others as often as possible.
Create a care package for someone not feeling well.
Find opportunities to give compliments
Bring treats for your co-workers
Offer to babysit without wanting anything in return.
Give up a good parking spot.
Allow someone to go in front of you in a line.
Make some of these a daily habit by merely telling yourself each morning, “Today, I will focus on being kind.”
Look for the kindness opportunities, and remember what you practice grows stronger.
More importantly, be kind to yourself.
